If you’re just joining us, click here to see what this prayer team is all about! While we are a “pro-life” prayer team, we, IN NO WAY, stand in judgment against those who have chosen abortion in the past! We hold you and your heart in the highest esteem and you are SO WELCOME here. Many women (and men) who’ve experienced abortion often hold onto the memory in silence, suppressing feelings of guilt, shame and grief for, quite often, years. If this describes you, and you would like more information on how to find hope and healing, please visit this site, or click on the “contact me” button above.

I want to thank all of you who wrote such kind and supportive comments to my friend Jennifer, after her transparent guest post last week. I strongly feel that we have to champion the brave women who are willing to speak out about their abortion experiences in an effort to not only help stop further abortions from happening, but give the hope for healing to those who’ve already made this decision.

Many of you may have watched the president give his address regarding the health care reform efforts. If you did, you heard him state that federal funding for abortion was absolutely not part of the health care reform bill. This week, the president of Americans United for Life (AUL), Charmaine Yoest, met with President Obama’s chief advisors on this important issue. She explains the results of that meeting in a later interview by Megyn Kelly on FOX News, as seen in the video below.

AUL’s legal department came up with an easy-to-understand chart that helps explain the Abortion Mandate. For your own copy, you can download a PDF by going here. It’s so important for us to fully understand the language of what’s happening, if we are to be able to take a stand.

SCRIPTURE FOCUS

O LORD, you hear the desire of the afflicted;
you will strengthen their heart; you will incline your ear
to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed,
so that man who is of the earth may strike terror no more.
Psalm 10:17-18 ESV

Father God, we come to You today – many believers, one voice – to stand for life. Lord, we praise You that there are people from both sides of the aisle that, though they hold opposing views on so many things, are working together on this vital issue of life. Thank You that so many believers are taking a stand for something that You clearly state in Your word is of great importance to You. Thank You that the efforts of these many are not going unnoticed; on the contrary, they are making a difference. Continue to keep us strong, give us the endurance needed to see this fight to the end. And, as always, Lord, we pray that the President would hear the cries of so many in this land and open his eyes. Believing You will change one heart for many, we pray in the MIGHTY, LIFE-GIVING NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, Amen.
