Screen Shot 2014-05-31 at 7.52.42 AMHave you ever considered how many times a day you Google something?

Yesterday, I needed to know a substitution for a cooking ingredient, so I Googled it. After a while, I was planting some flowers that didn’t have an info stick stuck in the soil. Were they all shade? Full sun? Half and half? I didn’t know, so I Googled it. Some time later, I wondered if my outdoor furniture cushions were still being made, so again I went to Google.

And those weren’t the only times.

No.

I wondered about an actress’s age. Google.

I couldn’t remember a type of tree I came upon in our yard. Google.

Could I make my own wall spackle? Google.

And on and on.

Truly.

If Google were a person, we’d be very close with all the time we spend together. And seriously, do I go to Google more than I go to God for the answers to my questions?

I often refer to Google as “the great and powerful,” but I have an ALMIGHTY, OMNISCIENT God, always present and at the ready to help me at any time. Google may start with “G-O” but it has absolutely nothing on G-O-D; in fact, it’s a poor substitute at best.

Google may be okay for a quick answer to an encyclopedia question, but God is where I need to turn more often. He IS the encyclopedia to life’s great questions. He doesn’t just have the answers.

He IS the answer…to everything.
