Remember that Mystery Trip I took a couple of years ago? The one where my man planned a trip for me ALL BY HIMSELF, and KEPT IT A SECRET UNTIL THE DAY WE LEFT? Remember how much it meant to me?

Well, he’s done it again! This time, we’re in Banff, Alberta in the Canadian Rockies, and it is SPECTACULAR.

I’ve had horrible reception and WiFi connections while I’ve been here, so I’m going to post everything when I get back home. I’m going to break the posts into several, as there are different places and things I’d like to discuss. However, I wanted to say something here at the beginning.

There are so many of you, whom I know from both sides of the screen, who have shared with me that you wish your man would think to do something like this, or would be as “awesome a husband” as mine. I want you to know one thing:

My husband is awesome, but he’s not perfect.

Nor is my marriage, for that matter. Why? Because my imperfect husband is married to an imperfect wife. For all the wonderful times in our day-to-day lives, we have struggles like everyone else. If we compared notes (which I don’t ever recommend) I would probably find some things which your husband does better than mine. It’s the nature of life, as human beings.

So, over the next couple of days, you’ll be reading about the gift of my trip. I will be paying homage to my man for finding a special way to speak to my heart in a way that makes it sing. As you read about it, I encourage you to not only look for the different ways your husband may be trying to do the same thing for you, but maybe explore some things that you could do to make it a mutual chorus! If you do, you might be writing your own post with a big smile on your face!
