I hate to admit it but I’ve heard “prayer request” like that before. This was great,we all need to be careful on how we present our request and to whom.
The very reason why I won’t become a part of a face to face prayer group. I used to be the ones those women would have been talking about, who knows, perhaps even yet today.
My small group has a rule… unless someone has specifically asked you to share their own personal request with the group, you don’t open your mouth about it. Even true needs are sometimes shared with a confidant, but not something that the person would want shared with everyone else… unless they’ve asked you to pass the word, MUM’S the word. So much gossip takes place in our churches today, all in the name of “prayer concerns”. It’s sad.
