You may have noticed the mention of my “Wednesday Girls” a time or two.  They are the precious women that hang out with me on Wednesdays for Bible study and living life together.  This past spring, we decided that, in addition to our reading some books together over the summer and meeting every couple of weeks for discussion, we would plan a weekend to gather at the beach for a retreat.

I love doing new things.  Of course I’ve been to the beach and I’ve been to retreats before, but I’ve never done it with these girls.  It will be new and fresh and significant because of the specific combination of souls that are present.
I love the limitless creativity of God.  I love how His Word is new and fresh and significant in the context of my life, just as it is in the context of my Wednesday Girls’ lives.  I love how He can be the “Him” He’s always been, and will always be, and yet show up in a completely new way, depending on who’s there and what they are bringing to the table.  It’s extraordinary. It’s God.
How is God showing Himself to you – new and fresh – in a way you’ve never experienced?  I’ll be away until Sunday, but will have some insights of my own to share when I return – I’d love to hear about yours!
He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God.  Many will see and fear and put their trust in the Lord.  Psalm 40:3 NIV
