A House Becomes a Home
As promised, here is a short pictorial tour of my new home, as it's coming together. I'm not going to post a picture of the outside, for safety reasons. Without further ado...The Kitchen...The living room - as seen from the breakfast area...The living room - as seen from the entry, looking on to the breakfast area...The dining room - as seen from the entry (the table looks tiny, for some reason)...The master bedroom...The (messy) Study...The Master Bath (tub), or what I like to call "The Sanity Keeper"...That's what got put together this week! We are SO ENJOYING being here! Thanks for being interested, and if you're ever in my neck of the woods, let me know!

The Long and Winding Road
Hello! I'm Melinda. Perhaps you remember me as the owner and fairly frequent post-writer to this little neck of the cyber-space woods. Maybe you've noticed that I seemed to have dropped off the planet, or maybe you haven't! But, if you are one of those few hangers-on that still honor me with your visits, even when I go days and days and days without posting, THANK YOU! I love that you're still walking the road with me! Speaking of roads, let me catch you up.The title to this post isn't just some lyrics snatched from a Beatles tune. Changing One Heart for Many – Week 52

If this describes you, and you would like more information on how to find hope and healing, please visit this site, or click on the "contact me" button above. We've made it!! One full year of praying together, and what a year it's been! Today is the...

Hard week.HARD WEEK.Hard enough to make me wonder, yet again...How in the world do people get along in this life without Christ? Without the hope of His coming? Without the thrilling knowledge that this broken, sinful world isn't the end? How??When I first received the news that I was going to be a grandmother, and the surprising circumstances that surrounded that fact, I was in a hotel room. It was the first time in a LONG time that I hadn't traveled with my Bible. My physical yearning for the Word was so strong that it surprised even me! I had my "Bible for iPhone", but in this instance, that wouldn't do. I looked through every drawer in that room, until I found it...the Gideon Bible....
