Random Mish-Mosh of the Transitional Mind
Usually, when I sit down to write a post, I have a point that I've been mulling over or a word that God has given me to pass along. But not today. No, with our pending move my mind seems to be peacefully thinking randomly spewing thoughts that flit back and forth anywhere from whether to grocery shop or not, to who will clean the pool over the next couple of weeks, to finding a pet-friendly hotel when I drive my car over, to when to start forwarding our mail. This chaos in my gray matter is no respecter of time as I know it. Just joining us? Go here to catch up and join the movement!Surely you've all heard the saying, "a chain is only as strong as its weakest link." I believe that to be true of our leaders. Their strength depends upon those with whom they surround themselves and from whom they seek council. In Spite of Me
I just walked in the door from Puerto Rico. We've been there for the last few days on our annual company trip, and when I walked in, I walked alone. I came home to Florida, while Hubs went home to Texas. It's going to be that way for a while until we get through this transition. As I wandered through the house, struck yet again by the fact that no one else lives here anymore (even the dog is on vacation!), I caught sight of something that made my face break into an ear-to-ear smile. My orchid. This was given to me just after we moved in as a housewarming gift. I had never had an orchid before, and was assured that I didn't need to really do anything to it. Just running it through with water...
