36 Years – A Challenge for Change

If you have arrived here from a button on someone's blog, this prayer team is being hosted during 2010 by Tammy at Not Mine But God's Story. You can read all about it here, and I hope you'll consider joining us! Thanks for stopping by!There was a lot going on in 1973. OPEC doubled the price of oil. The Watergate tapes were released that year. To the great relief of the United States, the Vietnam war finally ended. But there was also a law decided by the Supreme Court in 1973, that has affected far more lives than even the Vietnam war - a mind-blowing 50,000,000+ U.S. lives to Vietnam's 58,000. 36 years ago today, Roe v. It's the pulse of our emotions and the first thing we check to determine if a person's alive. In fact, it's one of the very signs of life, not only in living, breathing humans outside the womb, but the tiny, living humans inside the womb. These tiny little lives make my own heart beat a little faster with the want to make their silent voices heard. As we celebrate the Sanctity of Life this weekend, join me, won't you, in the plea for their case? Their heart beats are worth it; they are the miracle of life.

What Obedience Can Bring

I believe I've had an out-of-body experience. You know what I'm talking about; the kind where you step back from a situation and view it as if from outside yourself. Mine occurred on Saturday, during the prayer conference, as I watched myself worship with 350 other women in my home church...as I watched myself soak in some incredibly simple, yet so profound, principles that will radically change my prayer life...as I watched myself cry as woman after woman made their way past me to pray at the altar.Saturday was a culmination of a bunch of could-only-be-God moments. It was the outcome of immediate acts of obedience on Debbie Williams' part and my own. You see, on April 2, 2008, Debbie was...
