A Year in Prayer and the Word: A WINNER!
I'm looking a very busy day in the face as I get ready to pick up my friend Debbie from the airport and set up tonight for tomorrow's P.R.A.Y. with Passion Across the Nation conference! It's been a week of last minute cancellations and waiting lists and details, details, details. But, haven't we all heard it said that God is in the details? I'm here to tell you that God is in every nook and cranny of this thing and I'm expecting Him to show up and SHOW OUT tomorrow in a BIG WAY! Amen? However, even though I'm busy and shouldn't even be sitting at this computer, I promised a winner to the Year in Prayer and the Word Giveaway. So, a winner shall be named! Without further ado, here is the...
Giveaway: A Year in Prayer and the Word
Well, perhaps you thought I would be returning with thoughts and ideas from our Annual Plan. Honestly, I did, too! However, we had a few kinks thrown in the works and didn't actually get to do it! Fortunately, the window never closes on making a good plan, so we've rescheduled and I'll keep you posted. From the incredible response (both in comments and by the many emails I received), I might be hearing about YOUR annual plans before I tell about my own!Right now, I'm getting ready for an event that I've been planning at my church for quite some time: a P.R.A.Y. with Passion Across the Nation event with speaker and author (and my friend!) Annual Plan
Every year, round about this time, my hubs gathers his management team and for two days, they plan and strategize the coming year for the office. Several years ago, I had an idea. What if we did our own "annual plan" for our marriage, our family, and we got away to do it? I decided to surprise him, and I booked a room at a wonderful little inn that was about an hour away from our home. My only request from him was to bring his computer. When we were in for the night, I had him get out his computer and I took out mine. Then, I pulled out a two-page document - The First Annual G-Family Plan - that I had put together for both of us to fill out. Now, my man LOVES a plan. LOVES. I think it might...

Speaking
Isn't it interesting, the life to which God calls us? I have always viewed mine as a road upon which I'm traveling toward home - my eternal home, that is. It's a road that is filled with magnificent scenery and sudden pot-holes, straight, easy routes and patience-testing detours. In short, it's a wild ride! But, truly, what's the purpose of all this travel, if not to share it? Aren't we better for joining forces with those who've traveled ahead of us, learning sections of road to avoid and others, not to miss?As a Christian of 35 years, I've spent the last twenty-five with my husband, raising our family. Lately, God's been busy showing me the next section of my road map. For most of my...
