Song on the Surf

Last night, I watched the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico. As I was getting settled in my beach chair, Ipod on shuffle, this song began to play. With the unparalleled sound of the rolling tide in the background, the words spoke to my soul.Even if my toes were wiggling in the "sinking sand", I was worshipping the "solid rock"...Christ Alone.

What's in a Name?

I'm sitting alone in a lovely little condo at the beach.  Well, I'm not completely alone; I am joined on the sofa by my number one canine pal, Riley.  I'm over here due to the graciousness of my friend Jennifer, who owns this condo, and a strong desire to spend some time alone with God. A Wake-Up Call

Preparing for His Bride

I got a call yesterday from a young man that works for my husband.  He has an anniversary coming up and wants to do something special to surprise his sweet wife.  They are cutest couple!  He asked me if I would help him put together a weekend getaway that they would both remember.  Man...how did he know this is right up my alley?!I've spent the morning going to the web sites of some of my favorite places, making a list of special restaurants and fun things to do, trying to figure out what would make that young woman's eyes light up and flood over with love for her man.  It has made me giddy, not only because I am a hopeless romantic, but because I happen to know that my own sweet man is...
