From the Inside Out
That's the title for my talk that I'm giving in September at my church's women's retreat. And, aside from a lot of notes and thoughts in my journal, that's the extent of what has been written for that talk! I'm not worried...God and I will work out the rest in due (His) time. However, the comments that you've left (see posts HERE and HERE) have given me a lot of food for thought and have driven me into the Word, so here's the follow-up post I promised! There weren't a lot of answers, but I thought the cross-section of "Anonymous" gals was very interesting. Happy Mother's Day
For all the mommies...your work is SO important; God notices, even when no one else seems to.
First Words
Before I even get started on this post, I want to say a big THANK YOU to those of you who left comments on my last two posts. Your feedback has been invaluable and will factor into my talk at my upcoming church retreat. As promised, I will be blogging about those questions I posed to you in my next post. Be watching for that in the next few days. Today, however, I have something else to talk about.I have enjoyed the last week with both of my girls back under my roof. I got to do all the "mom" things again. Don't get me wrong - I LOVE this time in my life and have learned to embrace my empty nest, but every now and then, it's wonderful to brush up on "mommying". It sort of makes you...
A Survey

I struggle with discontent. E. I'm dissatisfied. Answer questions above with the most accurate number:Never - 1Rarely - 2Sometimes -...
A Question
I'm going to do something a little different with this post, in that I'm going to ask you to be involved with it. Find yourself asking "huh"? Read on.I have been asked to speak at a break-out session at my church's annual ladies retreat. I've been praying about what topic to talk about and had something pop in my head during my quiet time this morning. My lesson in the bible study I'm working through was about our longing to "be known" - the fact that we often feel invisible. This really resonated with me, as I can look back over my life and see times where I've definitely felt this way. I'm mulling over and praying about discussing this topic in my talk.My question for you is this:...
