Believing God
I'm in the middle of Beth Moore's Believing God study with my Wednesday morning girls. If you've never done it, you SHOULD, but that's not the main purpose of my post. We've been working through what happens when we BELIEVE God WILL do something (I mean, we KNOW He's able) and we take a real stand on our faith, only to experience the faith-crushing realization that He's not going to come through. Was it something we did, something we didn't do, was our faith too weak? Why, oh why, Lord? Been there??? Done that??? Of course, you have. We ALL have. I found it to be a good reminder this week that sometimes there is no explanation. We won't understand it this side of heaven. There are times...
Ahhh…A New Look!

So, read on and swim freely...the water's fine!Recently, I was asked if I had any advice for those women in...
The Titus 2 Principle
My daughter asked me, not so long ago, why I didn't have any friends my own age. Of course, I DO have friends my own age, but what really stood out to her is that I have a lot of friends that are older than me and a lot of friends that are younger...some considerably so in both camps. I guess for a young girl just coming out of high school, where ALL your friends are your own age, this seems a little odd. But to me, they are a rich, fertile ground that nourishes me in my walk.It all started back when I was a young mom and in a mom's group at my church. An older woman came to talk to us about the idea of mentoring, and brought up Titus 2:3-5, which goes like this: 3 In the same way, teach...
