If you’re just joining us, please read about and consider joining our prayer team.
We begin our pledge to prayer tomorrow. A pledge to stand in the gap for the unborn, the voiceless. We pray for a change of heart for our new president.
Friday’s USAToday states the following:
Liberal groups welcomed the decision, while abortion rights foes criticized the president. For the rest of the story, click here.
This is what we’re up against: Three days into his presidency, Obama addressed the ban on abortion funding. It’s a hot topic, and apparently, top priority for this administration. And so we pray, beginning with this obvious and very clear scripture:
you knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
your works are wonderful,
I know that full well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you
when I was made in the secret place.
When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,
16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
Psalm 139:13-16 NIV
Father God, we come to you in agreement, many hearts joined together as one and claiming the promise that where two or more are gathered, there You will be. Lord, we lift our new President up to You, believing You for a change of his heart toward the unborn. You have so clearly stated that You have seen these tiny lives even before they were formed; You’ve made it clear that their lives were purposed before the moment they were conceived. We pray that President Obama would not only be made aware of this truth, but would be so surrounded by it that he would be unable to deny it…that Your truth would become his truth. Standing together and praying these things on the Word made flesh, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
Hopefully, by next week I’ll have a grab button for you to install on your sidebar. We want to continue to add people throughout the year(s) and this will serve that purpose. In the meantime, posting about it or mentioning it on Facebook would help spread the word! Thanks for your commitment!
I’ll be praying throughout the day tomorrow. Had a conversation with my 8yo about this just yesterday.
“Mama, I think that no babies have died since President Obama became President.”
“Huh?”
“Remember, we were talking about how some democrats think it’s ok to kill babies when they’re in their mommy’s tummy?”
I then explained to him that President Obama had indeed signed legislation that would lift the ban on some abortions. I think he was a bit disheartened, but we’ll pray together and hope for change.
Hello! 🙂
So sad to see Pres. Obama lift this ban. Not a surprise, but still disheartening. As people join in prayer, great changes can come, though. Lord, bring the change!
Such a worthy prayer focus!
It grieves me beyond words to witness such a huge slide so early into this new administration’s placement. I don’t think it’s the last.
If ever we needed prayer, it’s now. If ever we needed the return of our great Lord and Savior, it’s now.
Be blessed,
Kathleen
Lord,
Cause President Obama’s eyes to be opened to just the awesome miracle of his own two daughters….and what abortion is truly about. Melt his heart Father….melt his heart. Amen.
Melinda,
I’m praying!
Blessings!
Melinda,
May God continue to do an awesome work through you, my friend. The prayer is steeped in His Truth, your heart is guided by the Holy Spirit, and I am honored to be a part of this prayer team. Thank you.
Blessings on your day.
Thank you so much for leading this. I am praying with you all this year! Thanks for being faithful to this cause. I linked to you from your last post but forgot to comment and let you know I will be joining you in full agreement as we pray for President Obabm’s heart.
It nearly ruined my weekend thinking about it. Praying for a change of heart, both in Washington and beyond.

Praying with you and asking God to change our President’s heart. Lord, let him see the lives of these innocent babes. Lord give him a heart to feel the pain of the loss of these babies. Lord, surround him with those who are believers and not just any believers, but bold believers who walk in truth and light.
I am sad at this news but made hopeful by your heartfelt prayer. He can do anything.
