Just joining us? Go here to catch up and join the movement!
With my heart in a better place this week, than last, I sit down to write this post. I hope as you read that you find your own heart beating with better, more eternal, perspective, as well.
I received an update from AUL this week, with news of a “re-energizing” of the pro-life movement. As we’ve discussed before, all the decisions being made against life have served to disturb pro-lifers into action; people who’ve remained comfortably silent are now voicing their opposition and it’s causing a stir. Even the Washington Post has noticed. With the Supreme Court nominees hanging in the balance, our voices need to be heard, loud and clear! However, EVERY BIT, IF NOT MORE IMPORTANT, is the unification of Christian Pro-lifers in prayer.
When things in the world spin seemingly out of control, it’s on our knees that we discover our grounding. It’s there that we realize afresh that the Lord commands the earth’s rotation – not our politicians, and not US. As we take seriously the task laid before us to be the voice for the voiceless, and let the great need re-energize our forces, let us also allow this “fresh wind” to fuel our prayer life with a “fresh fire”.
Thank you for challenging us Melinda. (I have been HORRIBLE about checking in, but pray each time I see the button on my blog.) We really must keep this in front of us…
Blessings,
steph.
Thank you for keeping this fresh in our minds….
Hope you are enjoying Texas..
Amen dear friend. Your post and prayer bring to mind Travis song we did in January, ‘Do it Lord’, do you remember it? Can’t get it out of my mind.
“Do it Lord, Do it Lord, Do it Lord, we are praying, Do it Lord, Do it Lord that Your glory may be seen.
This is our prayer oh God, this is our desperate cry, in these days that we’re living now, let Your kingdom come, let you will be done!”
love you,
tam
I was greatly encouraged this week to hear that new statistics reveal that well over 50% of the U.S. population is pro life. Now … if we could just get them into the voting booth we might be a force to reckon with. Better yet, if we could get them on their knees I KNOW we’d be.
Be blessed,
Kathleen
Thanks, Melinda.
Still praying!
Blessings,

Amen! I’m still praying!
I pray every day for our President and our country. It is the only thing that calms my nerves about the state of affairs here today.
Thank you for your wonderful prayers!
Still here, still praying, my friend!
Melinda,
This portion of your post speaks, no, it really screams at me today…”When things in the world spin seemingly out of control, it’s on our knees that we discover our grounding.”
Thank you for your commitment, courage, and compassion.
Blessings!
Most days, I’m not doing enough along these lines. I need to re-commit my heart to “life” and to those who stand on the front lines in my place. God bless them this week to keep vigilant and informed and passionate about the cause of the unborn.
