Just joining us? Go here to catch up and join the movement!
I’ve been thrilled to hear from some of you this week about your local town hall meetings and how you’ve been able to state your case and the cause for the unborn! I feel certain there are many more of you that have your own stories, but the most important thing is that you’re out there using your voice to make a difference.
You’d have to be living under a rock to not be confronted with all the negative press that the “extreme right” and “anti-abortion rights” people are getting at town hall meetings. I thought it was interesting that even the president said that out of twenty productive town hall meetings, it would be the one where someone lost their temper that would receive the most press. There has been a lot of name calling and ugliness that, personally, I haven’t seen in a long time. In the midst of all of this, Judge Sonya Sotomayor has been confirmed to the U.S. Supreme Court – a decision against which many pro-lifers fought hard. It would be easy to lose heart.
As I was mulling the events of the last week over, an old Twila Paris song (sung in this video by Avalon) popped into my head. If you were listening to Christian music back in the late eighties and early nineties, you will recognize it for sure! I think it’s appropriate for this week’s post, as we continue the fight, and a good thing to remember, in general.
and leaps from its place.
Listen! Listen to the roar of his voice,
to the rumbling that comes from his mouth.
He unleashes his lightning beneath the whole heaven
and sends it to the ends of the earth.
After that comes the sound of his roar;
he thunders with his majestic voice.
When his voice resounds,
he holds nothing back.
God’s voice thunders in marvelous ways; He does great things beyond our understanding.
Job 37:1-5 NIV
Father God, we come to You today – many believers, one voice – to stand for life. Father, even as we come to You day after day, week after week, with our petitions, it is our most earnest prayer that Your will would be done. Even if we don’t understand how it has to happen, or why things unfold as they do, we trust Your sovereignty and power. Help us to remember that You are always in control – in a world that seems to be spinning off its axis, and in our everyday lives. Believing that You will change one heart for many, we pray in the MIGHTY, LIFE-GIVING NAME OF JESUS CHRIST! Amen

I think that right now, with the condition of the world, the fact that God is still and will always remain in control is what gets me through some days. Praise You, King of all Kings.
My post for today was a way to remind myself of who and what God is to me. Sometimes we need to be reminded in these difficult days.
Thanks for always being a light for the unborn Melinda. God bless you.

And I was one of those at a Town Hall meeting. Our mighty God had His hand all over every aspect of it. He gave me three distinct opportunities to speak of our country's Christian founding principles and how they currently are being trampled underfoot…
Thank you, Melinda, for keeping us close to Him through this prayer team!
Blessings, friend.
Praying and trusting in His sovereignty with you.
Blessings to you this week, Melinda!
Melinda:
Knowing God is in control has kept me going through some protracted rough times in my life.
Still praying.
