If you’re just joining us, click here to see what this prayer team is all about! While we are a “pro-life” prayer team, we, IN NO WAY, stand in judgment against those who have chosen abortion in the past! We hold you and your heart in the highest esteem and you are SO WELCOME here. Many women (and men) who’ve experienced abortion often hold onto the memory in silence, suppressing feelings of guilt, shame and grief for, quite often, years. If this describes you, and you would like more information on how to find hope and healing, please visit this site, or click on the “contact me” button above.
Week 51. Can you believe it? We are coming up on a year of praying together, and what a year it’s been! The subject of abortion rights has been at the forefront of political discussion to a height I would daresay has not been reached since the inception of Roe v. Wade. Truly, this team came together “for such a time as this.”
My original thought was that we would pray together for one year. However, it seems ridiculous to stop the corporate prayer now, when it’s needed more than ever. As I’ve thought and prayed about the next steps to take, I sensed the Lord telling me to pass it on. I’ve come to know many of you who have a heart for the unborn for myriad reasons, so I began praying about who He would have me ask. One name kept popping up over and over.
So, without further ado, I would like to introduce Tammy Rude at Not Mine But God’s Story! Do stop over at her place and meet her; you can read about why the subject of abortion is important to her by following the links on her sidebar.
Next week will be my last prayer post and the beginning of Sanctity of Human Life week. I will be participating (and asking you to do the same) in a “blog blitz” with Pat Layton, to promote this important week. Tammy will then begin posting the following Sunday, January 24th.
Your commitment to prayer this year has been not only incredible and encouraging, but change-making. Please consider extending it for another year as Tammy leads us, and as you do, thank God in advance for what He will do through the prayers of His people!
Matthew 18:20 MSG
Father God, we come to You today – many believers, one voice – to stand for life. Lord we praise You that You not only allow us to participate in Your work, but You encourage it, promising to be there, working through our efforts in a special way. What a privilege, Father! Fill us with a fresh zeal for this work, giving us the stamina and determination to keep at it, and Tammy an extra measure of Your grace as she leads the way. Believing You will change one heart for many, we pray in the MIGHTY, LIFE-GIVING NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, Amen.
Oh Melinda, This is such a blessing! Hope you have a great day! Blessings, Faye
