Aren’t you taken aback sometimes when a child really “gets” something? A complex subject is thrown at them and in spite of their relative lack of life experience they wrap their young minds around it and GET it. As adults, we water controversial “black and white” subjects down to make them more palatable, and end up with a muddy mess that no one can seem to see clearly anymore. But not kids. Most kids will call a spade, a spade.
Take this 12 year old girl, for instance:
No wonder Jesus told us to get back to a child-like way of thinking.
Father God, we come in agreement today – many believers, one voice – to stand for life. We stand in conviction today that, as adults, we tend to complicate things to the point of missing them completely. You’ve stated that You knew us all before any of our days were even written, yet we argue about which month of gestation life actually begins. To a child, a baby is a baby. We teach that child to be kind and not hurt their brother, friend, or pet, yet we adults can’t seem to agree if or when it’s appropriate to take the life of the unborn. Even as we break it down in this prayer, Father, it seems a ridiculous argument. And, that’s the point, isn’t it? Once we break it down to black and white and view it the way a child would, the “gray” is removed, and it is altogether clear. So, we lift up our President, Father, that You would, perhaps through the innocence of his own children, begin to see the issue through a child-like perspective…that by becoming “simple and elemental” again, He would see Your will in the matter and move accordingly. Believing You will change one heart for many, we pray in the MIGHTY, LIFE-GIVING NAME OF JESUS CHRIST. Amen.
I’d like to do an official roll-call, if you wouldn’t mind. If you’ve been signing in each week, thank you – please continue! If you’ve been praying every week, but not commenting (don’t feel bad!), please comment today that you’re still with us. Accountability is an important part of a long-term commitment like this, so I’ll probably do an actual roll-call once a month to keep us all on task. If you’re reading from Facebook, please come here and sign in. Thanks in advance and for your support for the unborn!

I’m here. I am sometimes slow in getting around. Yesterday in church, our pastor spoke how he felt abortion was wrong. I was in the first service, small number of people. I want to talk to some who were in the main service. I am going to share some links with him.
