You know what?
God is real.
Seems an odd and obvious statement, I know. But sometimes you’re just clicking along in your life, settled into your long-held beliefs, and, like so many other things, they become “normal.” They’re like the air you breathe, and you sort of take them for granted. I’m speaking for myself, of course, but I think it’s a pretty common thing.
Until something unexpected happens.
In the midst of big decisions, you fervently pray, and it’s answered in grand fashion. Or, maybe tragedy strikes, and when the rug’s ripped out from under you, you frantically reach out to grab hold of His robe and, with a fistful of cotton, realize He’s right where He’s always been.
But sometimes, in the middle of the status quo, and the regular days of living, He includes you in what He does best: the pursuit and redemption of the human heart. In the midst of the normal, He does something so extraordinary, that, though you’re involved, you know, beyond any shadow of doubt, that what’s happening has absolutely nothing to do with you. It’s ALL HIM in His resplendent glory, gathering that lost sheep to His chest, heartbeat to Heartbeat…and you get to watch it happen.
Yes, there are moments of full clarity in this life, and I’m reveling in one right now.
So, I offer this as one for you to savor, too:
God is real.
“Some people say, quite rightly, that idols have no actual existence, that there’s nothing to them, that there is no God other than our one God, that no matter how many of these so-called gods are named and worshiped they still don’t add up to anything but a tall story. They say—again, quite rightly—that there is only one God the Father, that everything comes from him, and that he wants us to live for him. Also, they say that there is only one Master—Jesus the Messiah—and that everything is for his sake, including us. Yes. It’s true.” 1 Corinthians 8:4-6 MSG
“It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 MSG
and let it be one for you too!
So happy that you are getting to witness a changed heart!! How Glorious!! God is real!!! He’s the beginning, the end and all that is in between!!!
