I just noticed that this is my 205th post…I blew right past 200! Isn’t that just the way life is? We get a few steps past something important before we even notice that we’ve missed it! Sounds like a good excuse to slow down and focus on some of the simpler things – my favorite things.
Now you know one of my favorite things…The Sound of Music! I have loads more, of course, so I thought it would be fun to do a giveaway of some of them in honor of my 205th post! Are you game? Holding my husband’s hand…the same hand I have held since high school when snowflakes fell on our upturned faces in the parking lot after a basketball game, nearly 20 years ago.
Kissing the nape of my son’s soft 5-year old neck…and listening to him squeal with giggles.
Knowing that God’s grace and mercy and love are bigger than me.
Running into the ocean for the first time.
Ocean waves crashing to shore.
Running barefoot on the sand.
Walking barefoot in the grass.
Splashing barefoot in a mud puddle.
Lake waves lapping against the beach.

My sons, they bring me joy and the fact that they are 20 and 18 and still come and hug me and tell me they love me is something else! 🙂
My siestas (who are my friends) I have enjoyed meeting a lot of the siestas in person and look forward to meeting new ones and it is a joy serving them in whatever way God calls me to. I am thrilled to have met you Melinda!
My Bible and Bible Studies. The fact that God longs to spend time with me and is my friend blows my mind. His Word is life to me. I have grown through so many Bible studies. Each holds a special place in my heart and were brought into my life at the exact time I needed them, which doesn’t surprise me that I am studying Esther right now. 🙂
I know you said three things but I also love Yankee candles, SEC football, Fall, daffodils, going to see the movies. etc… 🙂
