Every Sunday around here is for His words instead of mine. If you are going through a time of waiting on God to move in an area of your life, read on.
Meanwhile, friends, wait patiently for the Master’s Arrival. You see farmers do this all the time, waiting for their valuable crops to mature, patiently letting the rain do its slow but sure work. Be patient like that. Stay steady and strong. The Master could arrive at any time. ~ James 5:7-8 MSG
Don’t overlook the obvious here, friends. With God, one day is as good as a thousand years, a thousand years as a day. God isn’t late with his promise as some measure lateness. He is restraining himself on account of you, holding back the End because he doesn’t want anyone lost. He’s giving everyone space and time to change. ~ 2 Peter 3:9 MSG
But God’s not finished. He’s waiting around to be gracious to you.
He’s gathering strength to show mercy to you.
God takes the time to do everything right—everything.
Those who wait around for him are the lucky ones. ~ Isaiah 30:18 MSG
Wait passionately for God,
don’t leave the path.
He’ll give you your place in the sun
while you watch the wicked lose it. ~ Psalm 37:34 MSG
But me, I’m not giving up.
I’m sticking around to see what God will do.
I’m waiting for God to make things right.
I’m counting on God to listen to me. ~ Micah 7:7 MSG
Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long. ~ Psalm 25:4-5 NIV
And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. ~ Philippians 1:6 ESV
Trust in Jehovah, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on his faithfulness. ~ Psalm 37:3 ASV
Take the old prophets as your mentors. They put up with anything, went through everything, and never once quit, all the time honoring God. What a gift life is to those who stay the course! You’ve heard, of course, of Job’s staying power, and you know how God brought it all together for him at the end. That’s because God cares, cares right down to the last detail. ~ James 5:10-11 MSG
This reminds me of a Southern Gospel song, “God may be late but He’s always on time.”
such needed words and reminders! I can trust my GOD!!!
