Every Sunday around here is for His words instead of mine. Sometimes a new year finds you facing down big decisions, or new opportunities. If that’s you, this year, He has something to say about that.
If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him. ~ James 1:5 ESV
Place your trust in the Eternal; rely on Him completely;
never depend upon your own ideas and inventions.
Give Him the credit for everything you accomplish,
and He will smooth out and straighten the road that lies ahead. ~ Proverbs 3:5-6 VOICE
Don’t be anxious about things; instead, pray. Pray about everything. He longs to hear your requests, so talk to God about your needs and be thankful for what has come. And know that the peace of God (a peace that is beyond any and all of our human understanding) will stand watch over your hearts and minds in Jesus, the Anointed One. ~ Philippians 4:6-7 VOICE
My purpose in writing is simply this: that you who believe in God’s Son will know beyond the shadow of a doubt that you have eternal life, the reality and not the illusion. And how bold and free we then become in his presence, freely asking according to his will, sure that he’s listening. ~ 1 John 5:13-14 MSG
Without wise guidance, a nation falls;
but victory is certain when there are plenty of wise counselors. ~ Proverbs 11:14 VOICE
We may throw the dice,
but the Lord determines how they fall. ~ Proverbs 16:33 NLT
I can’t do a solitary thing on my own: I listen, then I decide. ~ John 5:30 MSG
But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, open to reason, full of mercy and good fruits, impartial and sincere. ~ James 3:17 ESV
Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known. ~ Jeremiah 33:3 ESV
Mortals make elaborate plans, but God has the last word. Humans are satisfied with whatever looks good; God probes for what is good. Put God in charge of your work, then what you’ve planned will take place…We plan the way we want to live, but only God makes us able to live it. ~ Proverbs 16:1-3, 9 MSG
