I’m sitting alone in a lovely little condo at the beach. Well, I’m not completely alone; I am joined on the sofa by my number one canine pal, Riley. I’m over here due to the graciousness of my friend Jennifer, who owns this condo, and a strong desire to spend some time alone with God. It has been refreshing; a boon to get out there and start following Him more boldly and obediently.
I was just going to jump on the computer to send a quick shout out before I got down to working on my retreat talk, but when I logged in I realized that this is my 100th post! One thing I’ve noticed is that, in the blog world, your 100th post is like a “rite of passage” to be commemorated in some way; the most common being “100 Things About Me”. As much as I love reading these things (and as riveting as mine would be *grin*), my heart and mind went a different direction. Since I have no idea who all actually reads this blog (accept for the sweet ones that leave me sweet comments – I’m all about “sweet”!), I wanted my 100th post to count for something. If someone was searching for something or someone that could make their life make sense, what could I write that might facilitate that?
I did a study once on the names of God and Jesus that are listed all through the Bible (since I don’t have that with me, what follows was written by Mary Fairchild, with links to scripture added). The objective of the study was to deepen our Christian walk by learning more about the character of God and His Son. After all, if you know God and Jesus better, it’s easier to surrender the things that don’t make sense. So, in hopes that this will help YOU in your quest for understanding, I give you 100 Names of God and Jesus.
**NOTE: If you have any questions, please comment or email me and I’ll do my best to get you an answer. The scripture is provided to validate each name with the truth of the Bible.
If you have a relationship with Christ (or even if you don’t!), please comment with your favorite name and why…we can all learn from each other!

I decided to visit some of the blogs on the Laced With Grace blog roll today and I’m so happy to have found yours. I enjoy your 100 Things post and I’m going to print it out so I can read it often.
God bless
I have also printed this off so that I can put it in my Bible for some quick devotions. Thank you for sharing these.
Enjoy the beach for me!! I love the beach so very much.
I’m working on the cookbook this eve and came by to copy your blog address for your recipe for Fire and Ice. Sounds yummy!
Savor this time with the Lord, friend!
Prince of Peace.
There was a time that I was being woo’d by Him, that I was so HUNGRY for peace. More than anything else, simply peace.
And through Him I’ve found it, and so much joy that comes from that. Most anyone that knows me, says they are drawn to me because of my JOY.
I praise Him for the peace and joy that I have TODAY in my daily living.
Love ya!
Yolanda
I just came for a visit from visiting “truth4thejourney” where I noticed your comment about this post. WOW!
Today I had posted about God being “I AM” and my heart just thrills to read all these Names of God. There is absolutely nothing that we will ever need that God is not.
Praising Him,
Joy
