I had a day off yesterday and I was a woman on a mission. I'm supposed to leave town tomorrow, and will be with the kids today, so my list was long and detailed. With singular focus to each item as it was ticked off, I was shocked a little when my phone rang. It was one of my best girls, Mary. Dr. Ravi Zacharias is an Indian-born, Canadian-American Christian apologist, and defender of traditional evangelicalism. He has spoken all over the world for over 43 years, and has been referred to as the "greatest apologist of our time," by Chuck Colson and others. I had plans to write about something else this morning, but I saw this video and knew that it needed to take precedence. Whatever time you would normally take reading my post, please devote it to watching this, especially if you've ever wondered why God doesn't stop heinous acts every single time.

I've had the kids all weekend, while Emmie's been out of town, and I say "I" because I whisked them away from our house and back to their own when Brody started running fever, followed very quickly by his sister. Kevin is starting a new position this week and I was hoping to spare him whatever bug was rearing it's ugly head. Love on the Wing
I love nature. I relish being outside, and when I can't, I enjoy being where I have a really good view. It's one of the reasons I love my house so much, because not only does it sit in a beautiful rural setting, but it also has floor to ceiling windows all along the back so I can enjoy that setting when I'm inside, too. Even though I have about a 50 minute (sometimes an hour with traffic) commute to Emmie's house to watch the kids, I don't really mind the drive because I've found a route that takes me on back-roads with beautiful countryside, and I often have a wonderful view of the sun rising as I drive.
